“Seeking New Heights” -- an appropriate theme for the upcoming year for so many reasons,” shared Marty Burbank as he recently prepared for his installation as 2017-18 Chair of the North Orange County Chamber. A pilot and veteran, Burbank has developed a successful legal practice and now has been selected to lead the largest and strongest chamber in the region.
The board of directors for NOCC recently adopted a strategic plan that will steer the organization and keep it on course. The plan focuses on four initiatives that will enhance business connections, strengthen regional vitality and provide legislative advocacy.
Public Policy Committee
The NOC Chamber Local Policy Committee exists to review commission and council actions throughout the region. As well this committee will serve as the chamber's endorsement panel, interviewing and reviewing questionnaires sent to each of the potential candidates in elections. They will then submit their recommendations for endorsement to the chamber's Board of Directors.
This committee is comprised of representatives from our board of directors and several at-large members from the business community.
Project Review Committee
The NOC Chamber Project Review Committee exists to review project proposals from across North Orange County. This committee works to make recommendations to the chamber's Board of Directors either support or opposition towards building projects and land use projects in our cities.
