Illumination Foundation Recuperative Care and Navigation Center

At its meeting on Tuesday, January 21, 2020, the City Council voted to deny an appeal of the Planning Commission approval of conditional use permit (CUP) for a Human Service Agency with 60-beds of recuperative care and 90-bed navigation center with wraparound services at 3535 West Commonwealth Avenue. Now that the appeal has been denied, the project applicant, Illumination Foundation, is working to obtain building permits for the renovation of the existing building for their use. A construction timeline has not yet been finalized but is expected to commence within the next 45-60 days following building permit issuance by the City.
