St. Jude Medical Center will be hosting their annual A Walk Among the Stars annual celebration of survivorship and courage, starring St. Jude's cancer patients and survivors as runaway models on Sunday, October 14, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Anaheim Marriott 700 West Convention Way, Anaheim, CA 92802. 

Across the last 29 years, the annual A Walk Among the Stars event has raised over $1.8 million dollars for St. Jude's cancer services. The 2017 fashion show raised a record-breaking $305,000, taking a huge step forward in St. Jude's goal to bring 3D mammography to the Kathryn T. McCarty Breast Center. Philanthropic investment allows St. Jude Medical Center to remain at the forefront of advances in treatment and technology, ensuring that our patients have every advantage in the fight against cancer.

This year, St. Jude's goal is to raise close to $250,000. To date, the St. Jude Medical Center has raised over 64% of their $4.1 million priority fundraising initiative, which will secure six 3D ammography units to serve the 30,000 women screened each year at St. Jude. 3D mammography is today's newest and most advanced breast screening technology. This cutting-edge equipment will allow St. Judge's radiologists to examine fine details in breast tissue like never before by capturing several images at multiple angels. This improvement in visualization is a tremendous advantage in detecting cancer in its earliest stages, giving patients the greatest chances for successful treatment and survival.
